Born in Frascati (Rome) on October 27, 1864.
Died in Grottaferrata (Rome) on April 3, 1937.
Born Teresa Maria Adelaide Lutgarda, at the age of 18 she chose Abbot Arsenio Pellegrini, of the Greek abbey of Grottaferrata, as her spiritual director. She was a student in 1875 of the college of S. Rufina in Rome, she matured the lively desire to consecrate herself entirely to God. After two experiences of religious life, with the Poor Clares in the monastery of SS. Concezione and with a certain Maria Rosaria, called the «poor woman of the Heart of Jesus», on February 4, 1894, in Grottaferrata started the new institute of the «Vittimes of the Sacred Heart», initially cloistered, but then dedicated to various apostolic activities, such as workers and girls' boarding schools and the education of children prepared for priestly life. With the canonical approval of November 1, 1916, the institute changed its ancient name to the current one of «Oblate of the Sacred Heart of Jesus».
Edified by the great poverty in which these nuns lived and by their life of constant prayer to repair the outrages to the Heart of Jesus, Don Guanella sent his offering to Mother Casini, receiving in return a letter dated May 26, 1908, in which he the gratitude of the new community.
