Born in Cuneo on May 29, 1847.
Died in Rome on July 6, 1931.

He entered the Society of Jesus in 1889, already a priest, and was confessor to Pius XI. In charge of the retreat house of Borgo S. Spirito, he attracted many souls to himself for his singular piety, prudence and intelligence in spiritual direction, a precious and delicate work that he was also called to perform in the seminary of Ferentino and in the pontifical Leoniano college in Anagni . After the death of Pius X he devoted himself to the documented collection of graces and wonders obtained through the intercession of that holy pontiff. A tireless apostle of the confessional until the last days of his life, he was the confessor of Pius XI and of various members of the College of Cardinals.

Father Alisiardi recalled in 1925 that he had met Don Guanella and had intimately dealt with him on the occasion of the spiritual exercises held in the Cecchina retreat house, in Rome, and that he had always been edified by his humility, charity and full trust in divine Providence . With don Luigi he then shared the great esteem for Pius X, so much so that he collaborated with him in collecting the prodigious facts attributed to that holy pontiff: in September 1914, he thanked don Guanella for having sent him a compendium of the life of Pius X, a report written by the comm . Canevelli and some addresses "whereby, by writing to the persons pardoned, I will be able to have other reports of thanks through the intercession of Pope Pius X". After Don Luigi's death, Father Alisiardi "with singular modesty" continued to frequent the parish of S. Giuseppe al Trionfale, even granting simple and dear articles for the pages of the bulletin "La Santa Crociata".
