Born in Faedis (Udine) on February 26, 1860.
Died there on 14 August 1936.

After graduating in canon law from the Gregorian University, he was a teacher, vice-rector and finally rector of the archiepiscopal seminary of Udine. He was elected bishop of Padua on 27 July 1906. He held the diocese of Adria, as apostolic administrator, from January 1912 to July 1913. In 1923 he was transferred to the archiepiscopal church of Damiata, appointed canon of the Vatican basilica and, as such, bursar and secretary of the Fabbrica di San Pietro and president of the Mosaic Studio.

Don Guanella perhaps met for the first time Msgr. Pellizzo on 18 May 1912, on the occasion of the inauguration of the * Lina Palazzi recreational asylum in Fratta Polesine, where he was present as apostolic administrator of the vacant diocese of Adria. On the morning of the following 25 July, the Paduan bishop ordained Don Giovanni Battista Colombo as a priest for the Servants of Charity. Towards the end of the same year Don Guanella asked Monsignor Pellizzo, who in those days had visited the parish of S. Giuseppe al Trionfale, to arrange for the ordination community title of the cleric *Mauro Mastropasqua, student of the *seminary of Rovigo, consecration which was then accomplished on 26 July 1913 by the newly consecrated bishop of Adriense *Anselmo Rizzi.
