Born in Milan on November 22, 1812.
Died in Milan on March 25, 1865.

Ordained a priest on 19 September 1835, he was coadjutor in San Lorenzo a Monluè, in Novate and in Santa Maria de' Servi, then parish provost of San Carlo in Milan. Elected bishop of Como on 8 February 1858, he was proclaimed by Pius IX in the consistory of 23 June and consecrated on 4 July in the church of San Carlo al Corso in Rome. He made his solemn entrance into his headquarters on the 29th of the same month. Commander of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus.

From Monsignor Marzorati the young seminarian Luigi Guanella received the tonsure on 18 December 1863 in the chapel of San Michele in the bishopric in Como, the first two minor orders, on 19 January 1865 in the bishop's chapel, and the last two minor orders on 10 June 1865 in the chapel of the theological seminary. It was always Bishop Marzorati, prudent and moderate as well as loyal to the Austrian government, who intervened in the seminary to suppress that journal published by some «burning levites of amor patrio», whose deviances had been reported by the cleric Guanella himself, author instead of articles « instructive and ascetic», according to the defense put forward by the rector Bolzani. Finally, it was Monsignor Marzorati who admitted the cleric Guanella, in December 1864, to the pro-synodal examination for the theological benefit of Prosto, reserving the right, however, to personally provide for the canonical institution upon his return to headquarters. In 1906 Don Guanella would claim to still remember, «as if it were yesterday», this prelate, «a man of great merits, but ill and frail», in particular his entry into the diocese, the pain caused by his death and «the pomp of transported to his final resting place".
