Born in Livorno on October 23, 1825.
Died in Colico (Como) on November 11, 1899.

Lawyer, he participated in 1848 in the Lombard uprisings against the Austrian government. He was elected deputy of Gravedona, Menaggio and Como II in various legislatures. Appointed senator in 1889, he was a member of the provincial council of Como and held other public offices. Liberal, he was assiduous in parliamentary work and sensitive to the needs of the voters.

Don Guanella made use of the mediation of this deputy to obtain the famous audience with the prefect of Como *Carlo Guala. From what can be deduced from the reply letter, Don Guanella wrote to the Colicese parliamentarian on October 18, 1885, asking him to obtain an audience, sending him some documents (perhaps relating to his defense of the investigations by the Dongo prosecutor's office which were then underway), and a bundle of books as a gift (it is difficult to imagine that the Saggio di admonimenti was part of the group) which Polti promised to examine.
