Born in Corbetta (Milan) in 1842.
Died in Rho (Milan) on March 11, 1916.
He entered the College of Rho as soon as he was ordained a priest, he remained there for 49 years, always intent on the work of the missions and spiritual exercises. A priest of great kindness, he enjoyed a lot of confidence in the confessional from both the clergy and the people and was always happy to be able to do favors for everyone. Going as a pilgrim to the Holy Land, to his great consolation, he died of a painful gangrene in his foot, which caused him a true martyrdom of unspeakable torments.
One of the favors to which Father Olivares lent himself must be the reason for the answer given to him by Don Guanella in a letter dated November 1, 1901: a negative answer to the request for a reduction in tuition fees and for the transfer to Como of a hospitalized woman, a certain Celestina.
