Born in Busto Arsizio (Milan) on February 18, 1869.
Died in Milan on January 24, 1934.
Ordained a priest in 1892, he was for two years a teacher in the S. Martino college in San Pietro Martire. He entered the College of Rho in 1894, he remained there until 1915. He was later parish priest of Castellanza until 1918 and, finally, provost of S. Francesca Romana in Milan.
Father Montoli was administrator of the *Piccolo credito di Rho, a Catholic bank to which Don Guanella initially thought of conferring the assets of his institutions to safeguard them from possible forfeiture. On the occasion of Don Guanella's last illness, the oblate priest himself wrote asking for news and assuring him of his prayers.
