You like the sincerity of my heart, deep down you teach me wisdom.

Ps. 51,8.

Every June 16th is World African Child Day.

It was established to draw attention to the health, education and welfare of children in Africa.

The date commemorates the 1976 march in Soweto, South Africa, in which thousands of schoolchildren took to the streets to protest against the poor quality of education for blacks under the apartheid regime, and to ask to be able to study in their own languages natives, in opposition to a new law that required the teaching of English and Afrikaans as equal languages in schools, to the detriment of all indigenous languages and dialects. The regime ordered to fire on the demonstrators, massacring hundreds of boys and girls.

Even today there are those who fight against racism, intolerance and the exclusion of the poorest.

Let's make it not a struggle of others but also our commitment.

The Lord continues to walk and feed his people even in the desert of the current pandemic...
Today he broke the bread of the Eucharist for the first time with these children and young people of ours from the Guanellian mission in Canaan, Solomon Islands!

Feeling the heart of the Trinity inside and surrounded by these angels, how can we not feel safe even in times of fog and unexpected storms...? Don Guanella reminds us of it!
A fraternal greeting to all on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity!
Scattered throughout the world and united by the same mission of bearing witness to the love of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, let us renew together today our faith and gratitude as we all feel called and sent. Guanellian family, always and everywhere in a state of mission!

Missionary sports fest in Saigon. From Vietnam comes this photo and some good inspiring news. Hundreds of young people, in vocational discernment with various religious communities, including ours, have met in the spirit of a common sporting passion, sharing not only competitions and competitions but strengthening friendship and fraternity which gathers them around the Risen One, attentive to his call. We thank them, perhaps taking up the challenge of imagining something similar. If in Vietnam it is possible....!?!
