Many balloons that rise in the clear sky of Campodolcino; as many as there are Guanellian missionary presences in the world. A simple gesture performed on the square in front of the parish church of San Giovanni Battista where little Luigi Guanella had been baptized the day after his birth and where he had also received the other sacraments of Christian initiation. A clear reminder to all of us that when grace is accepted and finds space in our lives it is capable of producing wonderful fruits of holiness today as then. With that colored balloon we wanted to launch the new missionary animation center of the congregation right in the sacred places of the founder, which aims to reawaken and keep alive in each of our communities the spirit of sending that makes us all feel always in a state of mission ', in response to one's specific call that resonates within us from the moment of baptism. The feast of the Guanellian Mission celebrated in Campodolcino on 4-5 October found a good sensibility and aroused lively interest not only in the 'countrymen' of the Founder but also in the numerous vacationers who come to populate his valley this summer season.
A special thanks goes to the various volunteers and groups of friends who have contributed to preparing and animating this missionary celebration which will find an echo, starting from the first Sunday of October of this year, in the various areas of the globe where the Guanellian charism has been sown by Providence. All on a mission, with a young heart!
