With a heart full of gratitude, I sincerely thank our dear brothers, Fr. Luigi, Br. Mauro, Fr. Christian, and Fr. Michael, who generously donated their time, energy, and love in preparing and carrying out with great dedication the significant celebration of the 25th anniversary of Harong kan Sagrada Familia's presence here in Legazpi. Their commitment made this milestone not just an event, but a true moment of grace, communion, and thanksgiving.

At this sacred moment, we remember with profound veneration and gratitude Fr. Paolo Oggioni, whose faith-rooted courage and generous heart planted the Guanellian mission in this land. What began as a simple act of trust in Divine Providence has grown into a living house of mercy, touching lives, healing wounds, restoring dignity, and giving hope to countless people. His legacy continues to speak through every gesture of love experienced today in this community.

As we entrust our journey to the Holy Family of Nazareth, may Mary, Joseph, and Jesus continue to guide our steps, strengthen our faith, and protect our mission. May they inspire us to always serve with compassionate hearts, humble spirits, and unwavering fidelity, recognizing Christ in the poor and loving him in the most vulnerable, today and in the years to come.

Message from the Superior General

Best wishes for the 25th anniversary of our presence in Legazpi. The Spirit called us 25 years ago to extend the tent of charity beyond the borders of Manila, our first port of call in the Philippines. The courage of our first brothers in believing that our work in Legazpi was possible today is rewarded by this necessary presence, blessed by God, responding to the needs of this people, who are holy and loved by Him. Thank you to the brothers, the laity, and the friends who over the years have offered their generosity and charity so that this Guanellian presence may be ever greater and better, at the forefront of service to the Beloved of Divine Providence. The Founder is proud of you and your presence of charity among the poorest. A presence not in a personal capacity, but experienced as sent by God who wishes, through you, to proclaim and make tangible his fatherly love and mercy. Throughout the world, Holy Doors are closing these days; may the door of your charity always be open because "it cannot end as long as there are poor to serve and needs to provide for" (Don Guanella). Thank you and best wishes for all the good that still remains to be done!
